Sweet and Sour Pork


500 grams of pork

marinate mix
1 egg
1 tsp salt
dash of 5 spices

3/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt

for the sauce
1/2 cup green or red bellpepper chopped into squares
1/2 cup chopped onion
sauce mix
1.5 cups water
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp soysauce
1/4 cup ketchup
4 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp vinegar
1tsp sesame oil


  1. slice meat thinly and combine with marinate mix, leave for 30 mins to 1 hour.
  2. coat with cornstarch and fry over high heat until crispy
  3. saute onion and bell pepper, add the sauce mix stir until thick, pour in the meat mix then serve.
