Mini Egg Custard Tart


custard
2 cups evaporated milk
3 cups milk
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt
10 tbsp custard powder
2 tbsp cornstarch
4 egg yolks
2 tbsp vanilla

  1. mix sugar, custard powder, cornstarch, salt, then gradually add the evap milk until you have a smooth mixture, then add the rest of the milk, cook under medium low heat or double broiler until it boils and thickens, remove from heat.
  2. in a bowl combine egg yolk and vanilla together, mix the two then add 3 tbsp of the cooked custard , stir then put it back into the custard , mix thoroughly then cook it again until boil, make sure to use a wooden spatula to mix continuosly, it will become very thick . this whole procedure will take an hour.
