Three Cups Chicken

    
10 chicken drumstick or any part of chicken cut into smaller pieces
6 slices of ginger
5-6 peeled garlic cloves cut into half (lengthwise/vertical)
3 tbsp soysauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
1/4 cup mirin (sweet rice wine)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp banana ketchup (optional
a bunch of fresh bay leaves
