marinate sauce:
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp paprika powder
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
basting sauce:
1/2 cup Banana ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 tsp paprika powder
3 tbsp ketchup
or use any bbq sauce
- marinate the chicken and the rest of the ingredients overnight.
- wash the skewer stick to keep them moist and prevent it from burning during grill/broil.
- broil/grill the meat for 10 minutes then start basting with sauce every 5 minutes until it's cooked, will take around 30 minutes.
